Preview: Fed Speaks: Fed Bullard, Fed Evans, Fed Mester, Fed George - Barclays

St. Louis Fed President Bullard (FOMC voter) speaks: Bullard will make introductory comments to a community banking forum. We expect no monetary policy content.

Chicago Fed President Evans (FOMC non-voter) speaks: Evans will speak at a community banking forum. In his key note address, we expect him to call for caution in policy and to reveal that he was one of the FOMC members who preferred no further policy hikes this year.

Cleveland Fed President Mester (FOMC voter) speaks: Mester will speak on the economic outlook and policy. Mester dissented at the September meeting. We expect her to outline her case for a rate hike and to reiterate her view that the FOMC needs to stay on its rate hike cycle given that the economy is near full employment and given her expectation that inflation will move back to target.

Kansas City Fed President George (FOMC voter) speaks: George will speak to a minority banker forum. George has dissented several times this year and will likely, once again, make a forceful pitch for near-term rate hikes.
