Atlanta Fed President Lockhart (FOMC non-voter) speaks: Dennis Lockhart will speak to the Rotary Club of Knoxville, taking questions from both the audience and media.
Lockhart has proven to be a reliable bellwether of committee and this speech will be his first public remarks since the release of the July employment report. Prior to that release he had noted the possibility of a September rate hike, so we will listen for how he judges the likelihood of a September move change given the strong jobs numbers for July.
