European Economics Preview: U.K. Revised GDP Data Due

Revised quarterly national accounts from the U.K. and consumer confidence from Germany are the major reports due on Friday.

At 2.00 am ET, Germany's GfK consumer confidence survey results are due. The forward-looking index is expected to remain unchanged at 10 in September.

At 2.45 am ET, the French statistical office Insee is scheduled to publish revised GDP data. The preliminary estimate showed a nil growth in the second quarter.

At 3.00 am ET, retail sales figures from Spain are due. Economists forecast sales to grow 4.3 percent annually in July following a 6 percent rise in June.

At 4.00 am ET, the European Central Bank is slated to issue euro area money supply data for July. Economists forecast M3 growth to remain unchanged at 5 percent in July.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to publish U.K. GDP data. According to preliminary estimate, the economy expanded 0.6 percent sequentially in the second quarter.

The U.K. index of services and business investment reports are also due at 4.30 am ET.
