European Economics Preview: BoE Rate Decision Due

The interest rate decision from the Bank of England and Swiss National Bank are due on Thursday.

At 1.45 am ET, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs publishes Switzerland's quarterly economic forecast.

At 2.00 am ET, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association is slated to release Europe's car registrations data for November.

In the meantime, unemployment from Turkey and trade balance from Norway are due.

At 3.00 am ET, France's flash PMI data is due. The France's composite PMI is seen rising to 52.6 in December from 51.4 in November.

Half an hour later, Germany's PMI report is due. Economists forecast the composite PMI to fall marginally to 54.9 in December from 55 in November.

At 3.30 am ET, SNB is set to announce its interest rate decision. The bank is widely expected to keep its interest rate unchanged at -0.75 percent.

At 4.00 am ET, Eurozone composite PMI survey results are due. The flash PMI is forecast to remain unchanged at 53.9 in December.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to issue U.K. retail sales data. Sales are forecast to remain flat in November after rising 2 percent in October.

At 7.00 am ET, the Bank of England is set to announce its interest rate decision and release the minutes of the meeting. Economists forecast the bank to keep its key rate unchanged at 0.25 percent and asset purchase programme at GBP 435 billion.
