“Ethereum is steadily losing its market share to Bitcoin and various altcoins. Consequently, Bitcoin’s portion of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization has surged to 57.3%, marking its highest point since April 2021,” stated Alex Kuptsikevich, senior market analyst at FxPro, in an email to CoinDesk. “However, this does not automatically indicate an upward trajectory for the leading cryptocurrency, which has dipped below $67K, experiencing a 1% decrease in the past day and nearly 4% drop from its peak on October 21.”
