Retail sales: We forecast July total retail sales to print 1.0% m/m, after -0.9% m/m in June. We base our out of consensus forecast on the strong signal by the July prints of the Visa Expenditure Index and the Barclays UK Spend Trends Index If realised, this would result in a Q3 16 carry-over of 0.7% q/q, after 1.6% q/q in Q2 16, suggesting a slowing in household consumption.
